About USACFITS
USACFITS is an organization designed to promote the advancement of knowledge related to the study and application of digital forensics and information technology security and assurance. USACFITS is supported by the University of South Alabama, the School of Computer & Information Sciences, and a capacity-building grant received from the Department of Defense under its Information Assurance Scholarship Program (IASP).
Letter designating the University of South Alabama as a Center of Academic Excellence (CAE) The National Security Agency (NSA) and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) have designated the University of South Alabama as a National Center of Academic Excellence in Information Systems Security Education.
Information Assurance Courseware Evaluation (IACE) Program letter validating that the University of South Alabama courseware meets all of the elements of the Committee on National Security Systems (CNSS) National Training Standards for: Information Systems Security (INFOSEC) Professionals, NSTISSI No. 4011 and System Administrators (SA), CNSSI No. 4013 Entry LevelAdministrative endorsement letter for the University of South Alabama School of Computer & Information Science's effort to apply for National Center of Academic Excellence for Information Assurance Education (CAE/IAE) status.
