Industry Collaboration Initiatives

CFITS partners with the SoC Advisory Board, consisting of 20 area businesses that give of their time and resources to improve the entire school of computing here at USA SoC. These Advisory Board member companies participate in accreditation, technology transfer, public/private educational partnerships, promotion, K-12 initiative, research, endowments, industry outreach, as well as providing a source of internships for SoC students.

CFITS has established relationships with other Industry Partners in addition to the Advisory Board member companies, believing that to better serve the broader industry requires the knowledge of their various applications of computing.

CFITS also maintains working relationships with various military organizations. In the summer of 2012, CFITS enjoyed two STEM education intervention camps, paid for by the National Defense Education Program, in conjunction with our AMRDEC educational collaboration agreement. We are also active members of AFCEA International. Established in 1946, it is a non-profit membership association serving the military, government, industry, and academia as an ethical forum for advancing professional knowledge and relationships in the fields of communications, IT, intelligence, and global security.
